Students within the Sparta Township Public Schools participate in a variety of assessments throughout the school year, both local and state-driven, all intended to measure students' growth and progress. These assessments come in a variety of forms: formative, summative, and benchmark.

We believe that assessment data is one important measure of student performance. By adhering to best-practices in instructional programming and support services, we consider multiple measures when using assessment data as a criterion or benchmark determination.
